How does Mario have more hits than Luigi....on Luigi's own game??

@IekTheWubbox the rig seems fine to me when I load it in blender. the only bone that bends 'weird' imo is the waist, but i have to bend it to an extreme angle to get clipping. is there a specific bone you think is broken?

For some reason his rig is all messed up. When I try to move his limbs they bend in a really weird way

In my opinion, I think this game has the Mario model that is closest to promotional artwork.

Seeing him like this on the new render really makes me reconsider... I think I should use this model more often ! 😄

his hair is smushed under the hat, is it just stored like that?

THe nintendo switch models look very good

This model looks very nice.

@Luggy Not to mention its actually more accurate to the Mario Odyssey promo model, than the SMO ingame model.

@Koopa512 I'd say it's because it has a little more personality. Both the LM3 and SMO models are really expressive, but this one's animations do it better imo.

Why do people say this the best model?
Sure, it has the most polygons, but the eyes are as detailed as in Super Mario Sunshine, just not pixelated and the hair is more detailed than most games, but it doesn't even leave a dent on Odyssey high poly mario
The clothes do be lookin' nice tho, I'll give em that

Can you make it more clear which texture is what? it is really obvious with alberdo and normal maps (as well as the metal map for the overalls) but very unclear for the others

The Gmod Workshop has all the character models in one big package, but some of their bone groups are really faulty. But in the SFM Workshop, someone has done an LM3 package series with almost every character except for Toad and Gooigi. But they're in the Gmod pack so we basically have access to all the characters
For some reason they put the low-poly Gooigi model in the Gmod pack. Not sure why

@Artist-known-as-XO Can the same technique be used to make it look like the 3D World Mario?

it could be easily retextured to look like such, here's an example (same model as the preview)

Also, I assume that this could be easily retextured to look more like the SMG/SMG2 Mario. I'm trying to recreate the box for the game, but the SMO model has very little polys on his feet.

So different from the SMO Mario.

it's literally so smooth, look at all the smooth surfaces!!!

this is the cleanest looking mario model i've ever seen

@SuperKonaBros yes it is........?
See, the only difference is lighting
