Why are some of y'all so impatient? Staff members have other work to do too. If you need the models that bad, go rip them yourself. Otherwise, wait.

The models will be checked and uploaded eventually. It takes for the site's staff to check each model for correct rigging, no missing textures, correct texture paths, etc. There's other games that need their pending models checked, not just this one.

Also I've downloaded player models from other AC games and they're pretty complex. It will take someone a while to compile everything needed for the player models.

@CharlieV I wish it was that easy. There have been days where I do nothing but check models from the moment I wake up until I run out of energy at night, only to have processed less than 100. If the models are particularly complex, and if I have to render icons for them, I may not even reach 50.

Even if I were to quit my full-time job, it would take me at least a month just to process everything in the queue at this exact moment.

Is there a thread somewhere that explains how to rip models? I'd rather not wait half a year for content I can get myself right now.

@John the Geek: Users with auto-approval can choose to upload models without auto-approval if they are unsure of the quality. Models can be very complicated, and even experienced rippers can encounter things that they are not familiar with. This complexity is also why we have trouble finding staff capable of checking models.

There are plenty of other places that people can upload models to, but I doubt any of them will curate for quality like we do. They're not going to check if the model is incomplete, has broken rigging, is missing textures, has been modified, or is only available in obscure proprietary formats that you can't use.
