I'm still waiting on the Player Character files to be ripped. I would do it myself; however, I don't have a modded Switch to do so.

Sad cuz no koalas :( wish I knew how to rip models
The koalas deserve love too

If anyone wants to rip nature its in FldOut, and grss patterns are in FldUnit

tree file is pltoak bbtw

@BreadAndEggs: It will be at least a few months before your model reaches the top of the queue. In the meantime, please be sure to read the submission guidelines to ensure that your upload is acceptable. I also include tips in each of our monthly updates, so be sure to read those as well for more useful information.

Uploaded it! Lets see if it will get through and be public

I made this with models, but it take a lot of time. I am maya user. Is there any maya user?

@Weirdkid_12 That makes a lot more sense. I'm not sure if the same applies for items and furniture, but maybe I'm doing something wrong with the Separate RGB node. Thanks for the response.

@Scolipedeking you are correct to assume that you need a Separate RGB node to use the Mix textures properly. For furniture and clothing, Red is Metalness, Green is AO, Blue is Specular, and Alpha is Roughness to my knowledge. It's more costly for performance if games did not use these and instead used several b&w textures since you're just loading more textures which will always cost you when it comes to performance.
@Cavan Ashton It's easier to post the direct rips from the games elsewhere than it is to post them on this site. Adhering to the site's upload rules takes a lot of time and is, in the end, not even beneficial. I've even given up and dumped the game myself.

@nimaid (As a Blender user) Reviewing the textures, and honestly, I do not know what the MIX textures are supposed to be. They seem to be solid colors different from the albedo, and taking a guess at some models it may be ambient occlusion. The normals can be inverted, but I am not sure why there are no metalness, roughness, and proper AO maps for the models (unless I missed). Were those not in the game's internal, or are they actual maps that have similar effect, but just a solid color?
Update: Turns out that most games have these textures. It requires a Separate RGB so far from what I know. Unless I am incorrect.

@nimaid Why did you post all of the models there instead of here? That's probably not allowed, is it?

I finally did another full model (.dae) and texture (.png) dump for ACNH 2.0.0. If you can't find the model here, it will be in this dump somewhere: *snip*

Are the existing villager models planned to be updated to include the new villagers (such as the eagles)?

@RavenclawNimbus It has only been five months.

Wow, it's been like a year, and the lions STILL haven't been approved.

the pinguins in this game are perfect :3

pog

@LeoLuster214 i found out converting the files is not time consuming at all unless you are doing more than one. if you're converting just one, or even like five, it's really simple. the files are all .dae, so all you need is blender, import the models, pack the textures, save, and upload here. i assume the time consuming part is ripping the files. but @nimaid provided me with literally EVERY. MODEL. AND TEXTURE. IN THE GAME. up to a certain update. when looking at all the files, it's kind of annoying to figure out what is what, so i'm in the process of sorting them. i do have other projects though, so i can't just dump a bunch here. though for someone who has down time, it does not take that long at all.

I will write this for those who are waiting for rips: it is easier and better to unpack the game yourself and extract everything you need from it than to wait for someone to rip the models you need. Plus, even if someone rips the models and puts them here on the site, it's not a fact that they will be published. And guides on the topic of extraction, etc. can be easily found on the forum.

This is a stupid question, but I'm asking it because I don't know it. If the player's model had to be ripped, what would it look like?
