this thing is a model?
i think its because the texture needed to be scaled. likely due to the max resolution was 64 pixels.

JJTheGamerTV was right. It's a model.
@Marshi64 That's correct. Try using the texture without the model and it wouldn't be accurate to the original, since the ratio of the mesh's width to height isn't the same as that of the texture.
It IS a texture, Though i guess in this case it's using a mesh to render on the screen?
