@Doc von Schmeltwick, yeah, and the remake's model looks even less scarier, which was reused for New Super Mario Bros. Super Mario Odyssey used a much more nightmare-ish design which looks like what kind of eel it is supposed to be.

I don't understand why everyone was so scared of Unagi and the Piano. I always liked to swim around with Unagi in Jolly Roger Bay.
