The inhumans were made as a replacement for the X-men, because Disney back then couldn't add the mutants to the MCU, and Fox still had the rights, but, they could still make comic books with the X-men, so they create a series of comics where the X-men die of a virus and they are replaced by the in-humans. But the TV show failed, so they brought back the X-men in the comics (even thought they all died), Disney bought Fox anyway, so now the Fox X-men appear in the MCU and they will appear in Doomsday.

The Inhumans are non-canon in the MCU thanks to that failed TV show.
