he was never his father either to be fair. the BLOSC series shows that he only says that to confuse Buzz and gain the upper hand in battle. So the toy just had that line programmed without context and the characters formed assumptions based on it.
It's incredibly stupid that they retconned Zurg to be Buzz from an Alternate future instead of his father
This isn't Zurg, the real Zurg is the one in BLOSC, and he'll always be the one the toy is based on to me
So, we meet again, Buzz Lightyear, for THE LAST TIME!
I didn’t know Zurg was a Decepticon.
