I don't think it has an official name, it's just Monty Mole in a turret.

I was wondering if the name "Monty Mole Gunner" for these Monty Moles was actually used in the files, or was it just a placeholder name based on their looks?
Technically it's the same design from Super Mario World, the Super Mario 64 design had a pair of teeth...
@miru Nope. This is its appearance from Super Mario 64. The current Monty Mole look didn't appear until Super Mario 64 DS.
So this is when the modern look of the monty mole began to take shape?
