@TheRulerOfOats I can confirm that the DS' tiny screen resolution masks the "ugliness" of the models a good bit more than it would viewing them at a full crisp level of quality, they never intended to be seen at in the first place
The islands' models on the sea don't match the actual island model when player visits 'em.
What point in dev that change happened?

My goodness Toon Link is ugly in this game. The exaggerated facial features are what do it.
some games have textures that do not come with models. Link's outset island costume in Wind Waker is just his hero outfit with a different texture on it.
Many games use primitive shapes with generic tiling textures applied to them at runtime. As for why having dual uploads of textures.... sometimes there's higher quality ones... but usually I suspect its just because people doing texture rips aren't necessarily checking if there's duplicates on TMR.
But there are reasons for both sites to exist.

Why have The Textures Resource when, clearly, the model textures are already here?
For example, Tetra can be found in the Textures Resource, but here, you get both her model AND those exact textures... I ask because I'm finishing up a rip of all the NPCs...

Can you post your version of mkds modifier
Using this method:

I don't have any experience ripping maps. Maybe someday, though.

OMG! Nice!! I really like these models! Thank you TeridaxXD001 :)
Ps. How do you ripped them?
