Tbf his name was meant to be a shortened name for negative (which makes sense cuz hes meant to be an alternate world counterpart of Eggman) but Sega probably didn't think it too well and didn't realize it was pronounced like the N word so they kinda just rolled with it
Why did SEGA even think up the n-word for him???
They wanted you to forget he exists so bad they made his name sound like a slur.
