This page is the gold standard. Nearly all models are here, minus just some minor stuff, like the facial expressions. Great job
These are excellent but I noticed something namely, the other facial expressions are missing. There's no blinking nor shocked expressions. But I love that the animations are present!

Don't know about those two, but you can see some remnant of blond Luneth in his eye textures

Are the beta models for Sara and possibly Desch still in the data? https://youtu.be/fwlsyApoptE?t=20 https://64.media.tumblr.com/ca9453ff8cde6bc302fcf54605417d26/44d8e64371c7fc74-6c/s540x810/17a46c2540a5092cc83e7f03c9b8ded73a1fdce7.jpg
Fun fact: This is the first remake of FF3, due to the Famicom's source code getting lost (hence why the Playstation 1, Wonderswan Color and Gameboy Advance versions were missing from the other remakes).
Patiently waiting for those 'Pending Models' :((
... tried to extract them myself, and failed. I give up
update, next day: managed to make it works. lol i never can give up properly

This games models have held up incredibly well artsyle wise, just like the Super Nintendo's 16-bit sprites, the DS limitations had a sweet spot for implied detail in low poly models with low res textures.
Thanks for putting the animations on the models, although I achieved those of the PSP version I could not get the animations for the models
GMO Files are the most common format, you can find in PSP games, similarly to nsbmd files in DS games. GMO files can be viewed and converted through noesis. You can even recursively batch convert supported files( there is a lot of different formats supported out of the box including FBX, SMD, DAE, as well as some game specific formats like the FF7 PSX battle Models) in it. Sadly Noesis still has no native support for nsbmd files, and there are, to my knowledge no public noesis plugins for the Nitro formats either.
I did write a small batch file myself for apicula, that does the convert for me, but I still have to manually convert the textures themselves, if they are stored outside the nsbmd files. I'm using NSBTextractor from 2009 for the textures. While it does it's job, it is annoying having to confirm the prompt for each file. Maybe there is a better way to do this.
I also tried to use the extract function of Apicula on the rom itself recently, which actually dumped the nitro files directly(albeit with a lot of warnings. May be related to the most recent build from source though, which added support for detecting NSBCA files itself). So using tinke can be skipped in these cases.

Yo so i'm the guy who ripped all these models (and there's more incoming, like the player models and weapon models, maps etc). I simply didn't upload those yet because i already had 277 models pending upload and i didn't wanna clog up the upload process for myself
I don't know how GMO files are encoded and if that might make ripping easier but using apicula, it really wasn't that tough. I did have to create a shell script to remove the header from the NMDP/NTXP/etc files (essentially the script just looks for the first occurence of 'BMD0'/'BTX0'/etc in the file, signalling the beginning of an NSBMD/NSBTX/etc file, and it cuts out all the bytes before that)

Just when I was about to start re-ripping the Models myself, I see huge bunch of models being ripped.
Out of curiosity, have you ripped the models from the DS or the PSP version? The included Readme answered my question, that they actually are the DS models and not the PSP models. The only difference between both versions is the color palette of the textures being less saturated, than the DS one, because of the limited Color Space of the PSP. The Models themselves are exactly the same. Also the PSP version is actually easier to be ripped from, using GMO files directly, rather than putting a header to the NSBMD files as they did with the DS Games for FF3, FF4, and even some of the Dragon Quest games. And yes I'm aware of the game being in the DS section here.
And before anyone asks about the PC versions of FF3, FF4 or FF4 The After Years, the files appear to be different from regular NSBMD files, despite sharing the same file extension and the the NSBMD header. At least I couldn't produce some meaningful output with apicula with the PC variant.

Can anyone add Luneth and Arc Freelancer Model?
