The Duck Hunt dog is the only one here who looks normal.

Looking back at the original commercial, the unknown man in the middle (or the first thing seen after the Nintendo logo in the ad) seems to be some kind of weird reference to Max Headroom. Both are meant to be Computer Generated men with only a shoulder and head. Also the colour bars behind this guy, who I like to nickname "Mister Nintendo", seem to swirl behind him in the same style as Max Headroom's 80s-esc backdrop.
