If Mortal Kombat is ever gonna be represtented in any form in the official games, it'll probably be very minor (Like in the form of Trophies/Spirits and/or music). I don't know how you could properly capture the spirit of Mortal Kombat in a game that's supposed to be rated E10+ and Mortal Kombat is rated M, much higher than any of the official Smash games, even Melee and Brawl, which are both rated T.
The only one custom model that actually looks like if Mortal Combat collabed with Smash 64 back then if it wasn't E-Rated

If they were to represent the series with a character I'd imagine an immense amount of toning down and don't see them using any kind of fatality for a final smash
