@Mongee great question. It's basically a form of outlining - I want my models to have a toylike quality to them but I also want them to have outlining (to pop more) so I work the outlines into the geometry itself, as if whichever company made these toys made the outlining part of the model's colour. My program of choice for the project I need these models for is Roblox (seriously) and outlining helps a lot to make things distinct
I don't understand the creative vision behind the banana arms.
