| Aug 3, 2025 5:20 AM | AnthanKrufix | Asset: #0006 Charizard | Gamefreak not beating the "Charizard is the main character" allegations. Normally creatures have 1 or maybe 2 bones to open and close each eye, and 1 maybe 2 for opening and closing the mouth.. Charizard has 5 for the eyelids, 2 for the eyebrows, a cheekbone bone, the basic opening and closing mouth bone, but also an extra two for each corner of the mouth... Not complaining about it, far from it. It feels great being able to just dunk the model as is into an animation and have it come out looking like the ones I normally have to spend time adding that stuff myself. It just seems a little odd considering there weren't any notable appearances of Charizard in S/V so the model in-game went to waste. Maybe it was the first model they made under S/V's new system to test it out how flexible they could make them, before having to cut back for the rest of the creatures. |

I had heard of it's name at a young age and may have even clicked on it but it was mainly passing glances. This was until 2022 when I got interested into importing models from other games into Wii games such as Mario Kart Wii and Super Smash Bros. Brawl and this was my big main source for them. And then I got interested in submitting for games I had played, and soon enough I got to branching off to the other sites and submitted sprites from numerous GameCube, Wii, Dreamcast, PS1 and PS2 games. I haven't looked at models from a lot of games recently but if there's something that catches my attention I'd look into it. I've currently been submitting sprites from Dingo Pictures games by Midas and Phoenix Games on PS1 and PS2. |
