@FanOfYoshi Its my favorite yoshi game

@FanOfYoshi I enjoyed it, but I'm gonna have to go with Peardian on the fact that the original yoshi's island is way better.

While there are a few genuinely interesting novel ideas and moments, the game's biggest fault is that it tries to stay super close to the original SNES Yoshi's Island while doing everything slightly worse. The story, the basic gameplay, the enemies, the level themes, all of it. Even the progression of levels and worlds is very similar, down to timing of using enemies and gimmicks. I wanted to enjoy it more, but it constantly reminded me that it was trying to be the original. At least with Yoshi's Island DS, Artoon's previous attempt, the game forges its own identity.

Am i the only one who actually enjoyed the game?

Honestly, most people find this game bad. I'm with them. Who's with me too??

@BigBellies They definitely do. And I think you mean both the Slime and the Slime Drop...https://twitter.com/wilyg9/status/1252737972857962498/photo/3

I think the Slimes might have a model in this game

@Doc von Schmeltwick Technically, it's the same thing of a sort. There's https://www.mariocastle.it/w/images/3/35/YNI-Tipo-Mazza-Chiodata.png, https://www.mariocastle.it/w/images/a/ad/YNI-Pipistrillo.png, https://www.mariocastle.it/w/images/3/3b/YNI-Pinguobalzo.png, https://www.mariocastle.it/w/images/c/c7/YNI-Woozy-Guy.png, https://www.mariocastle.it/w/images/3/37/YNI-Granchiasso-schiuma.png, and https://www.mariocastle.it/w/images/8/8d/YNI-Dr-Freezegood.png. It'd be nice if the Italian wiki can rip some more, though.

@FOY Technically, they had them in a model viewer and ripped an image. That's not really the same thing, I don't think.

The italian wiki has ripped some models that aren't here.

I Wonder if Tap-Taps do have a gray texturing with a red nose and purple feet (likewise the Boo Guys have more texturings than in-game), which could probably mean that there wasn't only orange Tap-Taps with a green nose and blue feet intended.

@FOY Yes, using a high-poly model en masse would be a large waste of resources. Similar situations exist with most post-GCN "large" variations of enemies.

So, the Mega Shy Guy uses a different model from the normal Shy Guy?

I cannot help but think of the opening theme to this. "And now the ass band will play a song of farts to celebrate your failure..."

I think the reason they are so low-poly is because they are meant to be seen very small on the screen, meaning they don't need to waste processor power on high-poly models if you can't even see them in full detail.

I think the low poly art style adds to the old school charm!

these are all great i love them... i love the bandits...

I know they're all really low-poly, but I'd really like to see Tap-Tap's model be posted here. Might make some enhancements.

Low-poly Baby Mario looks like he's melting. So good.

Oi! Do they have to be this low-poly? O.o; No wonder the game got panned. Somebody please remake these models to make them hi-poly or something! D:
