Its like they took the console model and compressed it to hell and back.
The other day I went back to see if I could resize the console game's textures to get a less artifact-y looking model for myself. It looked... alright.
@Random Talking Bush I think what MinionShadow means is that the textures make Classic Sonic look fake, not that the model itself is fake.

Of course the textures are crap, that poor 3DS needed to do stuff besides just rendering Sonic, you know (for example, the stage).
