@greninjagreg Cosplay Pikachu doesn't come in a male variant, not within the games. I bet it's got a different species identifier, too (it'd only make sense, it would help to smooth out the coding operations), even if it's still a Pikachu. Even so, if it did use Pikachu's species code (why it would, I don't really know), it would probably keep re-rolling the values until it scored a female.

Someone needs to make the custom Pikachu outfit from the anime that was added and also make male Pikachu versions of the Cosplay Pikachu models.
It's probably programmed in so that if you hack it to ensure it's shiny, it won't crash the game.
@Heartlessdragoon: Correct. No matter how many times you reset, you can never obtain the Cosplay Pikachu as a shiny.
