This game's models are really good. Sure, they may be low-poly and in a fixed sitting position, but the 3DS's hardware isn't too powerful, so it was a necessary sacrifice. The models have really colorful textures, specular maps to go with those textures, and even vertex colors that make the model that much more vibrant.

I don't like these new renders for the characters. Their lightning is too bright and their textures are unfiltered, much like the ACNL model renders here (which I don't like either). Not like they aren't filtered in-game.
