Also, my Amiimal (who is a bear) has a light brown fur color (which depends on the Mii's skin tone, btw), yet his ears are the same medium-dark brown as the one shown here. Another reason why the head parts feel so tacked on. :P
@VGTurtle I do have to agree, the Mii heads look very low-poly (While the snouts and ears are more high-poly) and they clash compared to the other characters.
NGL I might like these guys a lot better if they didn't keep the Mii's head intact while shoddily slapping a snout and ears onto them. I feel the overall look clashes heavily with the game's non-Mii character designs and they generally just look…off-putting.
At the very least, they could've just kept the eyes and maybe a few facial details while having actual animal heads (somewhat like the anthro animal Miis from StreetPass Mii Plaza).
